Jane O’Neill (b. 1976 in New York, she/her) has been based in Greater Los Angeles for over 12 years. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University, a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting from Yale University, and completed residencies at the Yale Summer School of Art & Music and Vermont Studio Center. Her work has appeared in solo exhibitions in Los Angeles and group shows in LA, New York City, Brooklyn, Barcelona, and Vienna. Her collages and installations received mention in The New York Times, The Brooklyn Rail, and on WNYC.org. Additionally, she has curated several site-specific projects under the platform name LionEyes, most recently at Other Places art fair (OPaf) 2021. Made from gifted and collected scraps and party garbage, the practical and political realities of the materials in her pieces entangle themselves into works of cross-genre science fiction, political horror, comedy, and feminist erotica.
